The heron was back today.
In the middle of the day. All the fish are still present and accounted for. Wheew.
Scared the $%^& out of the baby-sitter! When I came home, she was just busting to tell me that it had been in the yard. She said the same thing I did - those suckers are HUGE!
We added some frogs to the pond that the kids caught over the weekend. Haven't seen hide nor hair of them since. K. says she saw one under a rock yesterday.
The heron's can't feed where they can't stand, so we are hoping the slope in the pond is enough to keep teh fish safe. We also have a four ft end, if they are smart enough to dive.
We'll see!
