Again - no picture. Blog posts are just not real blog posts without pictures...but until the other 'puter is up and running, this is all I got.
At least this computer has some of my favorites still on it, thus I can enjoy one of my small pleasures in life and that is sipping my cup 'o joe in the am, while reading my favorite blogs. And coincidentally right now I am also at the same time (yes, I am that skilled) watching my new fav chef, Guy, make a beer can chicken rubbed down with chili spices and drapped in BACON, yes, bacon my friends, he is making chili rice, and Guid-olives (sauteed with garlic and other spices) - man oh man....anyway I digress......
Since I have not been very inspiring lately - and I promise you all that self-pity and wallowing will be coming to an end soon, or else! I thought I would send you yet again to another blog I found, through another blog I found, and so on and so on...I have sent you to pray for Jaymun, I have sent you to read Audrey Caroline's story.....now I send you to MCKS - My McKids blog....I only wish I could be first of all half as faithful as this family is, and second to use words in the entertaining, yet informative and easy to read way McMama does to share her every day stories. This truly is the story of a miracle, and in this day and age it is so wonderful to read of answered prayers. We are so quick to blame God for the ills of the world, and yet so slow to give Him credit when good things happen. This family was told while their son was in utero that he had heart defects that would not sustain his life once he was born. I am happy to tell you, and you honestly need to read the story, that he is now over three weeks old, and happy and yes, HEALTHY. This was not a case of accidental mis-diagonisis....his problems were obvious.....but are now HEALED.
She is raising support for another great program String of Pearls, which offers support to families that are told their babies may not survive. Pearl's story is linked from McMama's blog also. I have not had friend's go through this, but I have been there for two friends that had newborn's that did not survive. Support is invaluable. This is such a great ministry.
So with no further ado...I send you here today for your inspiration.
I will be back soon... with fish stories, whining, and hopefully a laugh or two.
