Reality check

Had to share this.

Earl Nightingale :
Learn to enjoy every minute of your life.
Be happy now.
Don't wait for something outside of yourself to make you happy in the future.
Think how really precious is the time you have to spend, whether it's at work or with your family.
Every minute should be enjoyed and savored.

Count life's blessing today.
I believe the patient I am seeing right now who just retired -
is supposed ot be traveling and enjoying his wife and grandchildren -
but instead is fighting a brain tumor that will most likely take his life, and could have been removed had it been diagnosed properly a year ago -
would agree with this sentiment.
I believe the number of women I have heard about in the last few weeks that have suddenly lost their young husbands to tragic unexpected illnesses would agree with this sentiment.
I believe every family that has lost someone in Iraq this year would agree with this sentiment.

My goal today is to "let go" of life's petty annoyances that I let get me down, and truly honestly try to be happy with the wonderful blessed beautiful life God has blessed me with. Wish me luck as I will be navigating the over stuffed holiday mall today!
